Summerville is a historic town dating back to the 1800s but has recently seen extraordinary growth. Everything for sale in the Charleston area seems to be in Summerville! Now, the area can be confusing because there’s really two parts of Summerville – the incorporated city, and the unincorporated parts of Dorchester and Berkeley Counties. The city of Summerville is actually quite small compared to the unincorporated areas. This means if you’re looking at a home in Summerville, chances are the home isn’t actually part of Summerville (the city). It merely has a Summerville address.

Nexton isn’t far behind Cane Bay, being the 26th top selling neighborhood. Nexton is in a prime location next to I-26 but commands a higher price point than Cane Bay.
