Hanahan
Hanahan
Hanahan is a suburb that mixes a GREAT location at an affordable price point. We can really split Hanahan into three areas – north, south, and west.
Southern Hanahan has homes from the 40s and 50s as well as a few new construction homes. Looking for lakefront property? Look no further. Hanahan is a sportsman’s paradise due to its proximity to the Goose Creek Reservoir. Southern Hanahan will be the most affordable part of the city, which is perfect because it’s close to major highways. River’s Avenue is just minutes to the West and I-526 is just minutes to the south. Commuting anywhere in Charleston is a breeze when you live in Southern Hanahan.
Northern Hanahan predominately features the Tanner Plantation neighborhood which has primarily been built since the 2010s. Homes here have a newer feel and the neighborhood has plenty of amenities, to include shopping, groceries, and restaurants. You’ll find homes are priced higher in Tanner Plantation than other areas of town – but with good reason! The neighborhood is gorgeous and people love living here.
Western Hanahan is just off of Rivers Avenue to the west of the Goose Creek reservoir. Homes here fall somewhere between Southern and Northern Hanahan in terms of price. You’ll find some truly massive homes built in the 70s and 80s. Think brick ranch homes with the size of modern new construction homes.
