Ladson

Ladson isn’t a city or even a town! It’s what the U.S. Census Bureau calls a Census Designated Place, or CDP for short. It’s a geographic area that shares common ties but lacks boundaries or elected officials. You’ll find Ladson a tad more rural than other areas of similar distance to Charleston (like Goose Creek or Hanahan). However, there are still some amazing neighborhoods, both old and new. New construction communities might actually fetch prices at or above the median Charleston sales price!

One of the great things about Ladson is that it is so close to I-26 which makes commuting a breeze. It’s definitely an area you want to check out if you’re looking for a quiet neighborhood at an affordable price point!
