Goose Creek
Goose creek is a vibrant suburb north of Hanahan and south of Moncks Corner. Founded in the early 60s, the area has both older developments as well as new neighborhoods. Looking for a brick ranch home? No problem. Want new construction? Also no problem.
Goose Creek really has two sides: West of Highway 52, and Easy of Highway 52. Crowfield Plantation is the largest neighborhood in Goose Creek and falls to the west of highway 52. It is a golf course community with homes at all price points. West of Highway 52 you’ll find most of Goose Creek’s restaurant, shopping, and grocery scene.
Much of the new construction in Goose Creek falls east of highway 52. Here, you have neighborhoods like Sedgefield and Boulder Bluff representing homes from the 60s and 70s, as well as sprawling new construction neighborhoods such as Brickhope Plantation, Medway Landing, Sophia’s Landing, and Cokers Crossing. There are even townhome communities like Hawthorne Landing and Cokers Commons.
Goose Creek is a great suburb for those looking below the median price point in the Charleston metro. It is minutes away from the Naval Weapons Station which is home to our country’s Nuclear Navy. Amazon has a major distribution center just to the south of Goose Creek.
